There’s No Place Like Home, Part 2

With the Fall season upon us, create your own sanctuary in style with furnishings from local makers – because there’s no place like home!

Forestree Collective

Forestree Collective creates climate-beneficial furniture that supports healthier forests and homes. Reducing the risk of catastrophic wildfire requires removing small-diameter trees that crowd mature stands and act as kindling. They specialize in utilizing this often-overlooked material—wood that would otherwise be discarded or burned.

Partnering with forest managers and landowners in Sonoma County, they responsibly source small-diameter trees (6–12″), mill them with their efficient single-pass scragg mill, and solar kiln-dry the boards—all in-house. This vertically integrated process allows them to maintain control over quality, sustainability, and supply from forest to finished piece.

Studio Susan

The Frame Tapestry from Studio Susan is a scalable, modular design with infinite possibilities for customization. Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright’s ethos that buildings should exist in harmony with their landscape, these tapestries are designed to reflect their environment. Ceramics weaving into architecture.

MANOS by Concreteworks

From MANOS by Concreteworks, the Hugo Table is a bold expression of concrete in its rawest form. Each piece is hand-packed into its mold, producing cracked, textured edges that reveal the tactile nature of the casting process. No two tables are alike—each one is sculptural and singular.

Handcrafted from high-performance GFRC, the Hugo Table is designed to last and evolve, developing a natural patina over time. Suitable for indoor and outdoor environments, it serves beautifully as a coffee table, display platform, or statement centerpiece. Available in three sizes. Designed by Johnston Marklee & Schneider Luescher.

OJA Design

The versatile Circle Stools from OJA Design can be used as a stool or small side table. They can be placed on their own, or docked together. Available in a range of woods and finishes.

Confluence Furniture

From Confluence Furniture, the Mingei Armchair & Side Chair are handcrafted from walnut with brass rods, and echo the work of mid-century master woodworker George Nakashima.

Peace Industry

Designed by Artist Melina Finkelstein, baskets and “Choob” ottomans from Peace Industry are made of luxuriously soft New Zealand wool felt in bold, saturated colors.

FYRN

Essential by design, the Keyhole Collection from FYRN is a collection of communal tables and benches that put structural support on display. The collection’s name derives from the proprietary brackets on view through ‘keyholes’ in the solid-wood tops of the table and bench.

Made of high-quality, North American Hardwoods, each piece is one-of-a-kind, celebrating the unique natural characteristics of the material. Table lengths are customizable between 66 – 144 inches. Bench lengths are customizable between 39 – 92 inches.
