Owner and head baker of Wooden Table Baking Co., Andreas Ozzuna grew up in Buenos Aires in a large family with a grandmother who cooked for her every day. When she moved to the Bay Area over 18 years ago, there wasn’t much Argentinean food, so she started making the food she craved.
Inside the commercial bakery in East Oakland you’ll find alfajores (traditional cookies made with shortbread and joined with dulce de leche), bonbons, other cookies and one of Argentina’s other treasures: tango.
Andreas and her partner, Citabria love to dance Argentinian tango. Here’s the playlist from their bakery.
