There will be a food truck with a lounge area\, and Marin Made will host an open house at their state of the art maker space where visitors can experience their tools\, machinery\, technology\, and the creative possibilities for making. \nAbout Marin Made\nMarin Made is a non-profit educational maker space that combines traditional tools and techniques with state of the art technology. Promoting passionate creativity and civically engaged entrepreneurial thinking\, the organization is geared towards kids\, adults\, and creators of varied experience levels. Whether you want to learn a new skill or master an old one\, you can make almost anything you can imagine at Marin Made. \nAbout Sausalito’s Marinship Neighborhood\nMaking by the Bay will take place in the north end of Sausalito by the bay in an area known as Marinship\, named for the shipyard constructed there during WWII where 93 ships were built from 1942 to 1945. The area has a rich history of making. In addition to ship and boat building\, artists\, craftsman\, and creative businesses have been drawn to the area for its unique combination of former industrial buildings nestled in a beautiful bayside setting.
